Strictly People: always a good feeling

Strictly People: always a good feeling

Tenant in the spotlight

Three years ago, Strictly People moved into splendid offices on the seventh floor of the Groot Handelsgebouw. The view over the Weena high-rise buildings is impressive. “We’ve got a very nice spot here,” says Saskia van Dam enthusiastically. She is an employment communications content specialist at Strictly People, a recruitment and selection agency in the financial and payroll administration sectors.

“And the successes are celebrated together, because everything we achieve is the result of a team effort.”

Communication is key

“There’s a huge shortage of staff in both groups,” Saskia explains. “We’ve developed our own working method at Strictly People that lets us fill the vacancies quickly and effectively. We don’t work with all-round recruiters who write the job vacancy texts and do the sales and do the sourcing – we have a team of specialists. A salesperson, a recruiter, a sourcing agent and an employment communications specialist work together to make sure that the right candidate ends up in the right position. Because each of us in the team tackles one part of the process, we have to communicate with each other a lot. Those are also the moments when we help each other stay on the ball. The advantage of our working method is that everyone can do what they’re good at. And the successes are celebrated together, because everything we achieve is the result of a team effort.”

“Everyone in the team gets the opportunity to improve the way they work.”

Always a good feeling

As an employment communications content manager, Saskia is not only involved in marketing activities and online campaigns, but she also helps think about Strictly People’s strategy. “When I started nearly three years ago, they promised me I would have scope to develop and grow. That promise has been honoured in full. Everyone in the team gets the opportunity to improve the way they work. The organization of our processes and systems is getting better and better. Me? I enjoy thinking about how the company can grow. About how we can get our customers and candidates to stick with us – an issue that I started the ‘Always a good feeling’ project for. The idea is that the customer and candidate are left with such a good feeling about the services we provided that they will always come back to us in future. We are implementing that now, right down to the smallest steps in our process.”

A good neighbour

Strictly People is a big fan of the Groot Handelsgebouw. “The view from our office is fantastic. We regularly use the gallery for making photos and videos for social media,” says Saskia. “Even though our office is on a long corridor and you can’t look right into the offices, our contacts with our neighbours are very good. We regularly meet up with various companies, and those contacts are friendly and very useful.”
